We built SBADecoded because SBA publishes loan-level data on every loan it guarantees, and nobody translates it for the people actually borrowing. We are not a lender and we take no referral fees. Every number here comes from the federal record, and the method is published in full.

What is behind the numbers
as of 2026-06-30Every figure on this site is computed from SBA's own FOIA releases, which are public domain. We publish the method, the sample size and the release date beside each number, so you can check our work rather than take it on trust. Where a rule is involved, we cite it and date it, because the rules change.
How we pay for it
Display advertising, and affiliate links for services a new owner needs — bookkeeping, insurance, payroll, entity formation. Never lenders. No bank pays to appear here, to rank higher, or to be recommended, and we would publish their bad numbers if they did. The full arrangement.
