We publish figures computed from public federal records and explain what the terminology means. We are not your banker, broker, attorney or accountant, and nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice. Every calculator on this site is an estimate built on stated assumptions; a lender's actual offer will differ. Talk to qualified professionals before you sign anything.

SBADecoded has no affiliation with, endorsement from, or authorisation by the U.S. Small Business Administration or any government agency. We are not a lender, a loan broker, or a lead generator. We accept no applications and cannot influence any lending decision.

Figures come from SBA's own FOIA releases and are recomputed each quarter. We publish the method, the sample size and the release date next to every number so you can judge it. But the underlying data can contain errors we cannot detect, rules change between SOP revisions, and a statistic about a lender or a brand says nothing certain about what will happen to you. Use it as one input, not as a verdict.

The underlying SBA data is US government public domain and yours to use freely. Our analysis, writing, calculators and design are not — but quote us, cite figures, and screenshot charts as much as you like, with a link back. Journalists and researchers who want the underlying figures should just ask.

Wholesale scraping and republication of the site is not permitted, mostly because a stale copy of a page that changes quarterly does a borrower more harm than good.
